Data Deletion Instructions

Overview

Niia respects your right to control your data. This page explains how salons using Niia, and end customers who have messaged a salon's WhatsApp number powered by Niia, can request deletion of their information from our systems.

Who This Applies To

  • Salons (our Customers): businesses with a Niia account, including their dashboard data, services, staff, and booking records.
  • End customers: people who have messaged a salon's WhatsApp number that runs on Niia, including their conversation history and any booking details captured through that conversation.

How to Request Deletion

To request deletion of your data, email [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:

  • Your name and salon/business name (for Customers), or the WhatsApp number you messaged from (for end customers)
  • A description of what you'd like deleted

Salons can also cancel their subscription directly from Settings → Billing in the dashboard, which starts the deletion timeline described below without needing a separate email.

What Happens Next

We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days. This includes:

  • Account and business information (for Customers)
  • Stored WhatsApp conversation history associated with the relevant number
  • Customer and booking records tied to that conversation, where applicable

This is consistent with the data handling described in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

What We May Retain

Some information may be retained beyond a deletion request where required by law (for example, financial records for tax or accounting compliance) or as necessary to resolve an active dispute or investigate misuse of the platform.

WhatsApp Platform Data

Niia integrates with Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. Deleting your data from Niia does not automatically delete data held directly by Meta/WhatsApp. See WhatsApp's own Privacy Policy for how to manage data at the platform level.
